    Weight: -40lbs | BMI: 28.9 (-5.9) | Waist: 38″ (-6″)

It’s officially official. I am BACK in ONEderland*…for good. And with that milestone comes another…

    I AM NO LONGER OBESE.

    Praise God.

Per my BMI, I am now in the “overweight” category, which means I still have some work to do, but I am indeed HEALTHIER. I’ve got another 30 lbs to lose to get to a “normal” BMI. And I’m gonna do it.

    Here’s How…

    • 0:00 – Update on my “State of the Weight”
    • 2:54 – Tailored Pants Revealed
    • 7:00 – New Body, New Clothes. Help me dress this foreign body! Please 🙂

Basically…not much progress was made since my last progress report from week 16. The last 5 weeks were a wash, as I went on vacation and took plenty of liberties in that time. I reached my milestone briefly, but then bounced right up out of it not too much later.

But I’m back now…settled in, and ready to WORK! I will reach that milestone again, and I will go farther than ever.

I did, however, manage to work with my Nana to alter those slacks I had that were ginormous! Refresh your memory HERE.

And while I was on vacation, I picked up a new pair of jeans that fit without a belt or further alteration, lol. But umm, the whole shopping experience was dreadfully overwhelming. So many options available that weren’t there before…I haven’t a clue what to do! H-E-L-P!

  6. Motivators: Size Appraisal

    April 18, 2012 by B.Good

Do you have a shirt I can borrow?

Yeah, here. It should be big enough.

    Big enough?

I mean, it should fit you.

    Mmmhmm. Interesting choice of words.

  7. My ‘Foodie’ Sense is Tingling

    April 4, 2012 by B.Good

I’ve experienced an increased sense of smell since starting this journey to healthy. I can smell food ingredients from a mile away.

The other day, a couple with 3 Papa John’s pizzas (I recognized the box) walked past me. They didn’t walk directly in front me…they were actually a little ways away, but in any case, we crossed paths.

About 50 ft later, when they were clearly out of my path, I could smell the pizzas…vividly. I could smell the fresh veggies, the tomato sauce, and the CHEEESE.

Man, I know Papa John’s so well. That was my SPOT! I was reminded of a coupon I had for a free pizza, and I was all set to cash it in and throw my eating plan out the window. But thankfully, the coupon had already expired. The Lord had saved me from myself!

  8. Shrinking Out of My Clothes

These pants are a size 16W…and they are HUGE! I wonder what size I can fit now.

  9. Motivators: Doubt

    March 25, 2012 by B.Good

I was watching TV with a friend, and a commercial starring Jennifer Hudson came on. He pointed at her and asked me…

“Is that [the size] where you want to go?”

I said yes, if that’s where this journey takes me. He shook his head and said…

“I can’t see you at that size.”

Hmph. We’ll just see about that.

  10. Speaking of wine

    March 21, 2012 by B.Good

“What we found is that the fundamental taste ability of [a wine] expert is different [from other people]…And, if an expert’s ability to taste is different from the rest of us, should we be listening to their recommendations?”

John Hayes, director of Penn State’s sensory evaluation center

I sure don’t! Although ever since seeing the movie “Sideways“, I stopped drinking Merlot for some reason.
